blueberry pickin good!

My mom was in town for the past week and we did many things…including spending lots of time at home with two sick kiddos (who happily passed their cold onto me, ha!). One of the things we did was taking my oldest to pick blueberries. This was her first time ever doing this and it has been a LONNNNG time since I have gone out there. She loved it but quickly faded after the excitment wore off and she became tired (since we ok her up at 530am to get there). 7lbs of berries and 7 jars of home made jam (made by yours truly) later, I consider it a successful trip! We will prob be doing this again next year and including my baby in on it.

ps. they even let your kiddos eat off the trees while they pick (yup, no pesticides or sprays on the trees).

glimpse – park days

Now that my older one is old enough to play at the park and I can trust her up on those high slides, we LOVE going to the park. We have three parks in our area (actually 4, but three we actually go to) that are all within walking distance. We decided to walk to the BIG park which is almost a mile away…but mommy lost her phone and finally had the neighbor call it so we could find it quicker and attempt the park. Long story short, by the time we got going on our walk…we walked by the first park (which is about a 2 min walk) and maddie (my oldest) says…”mommy, my bones are tired”…so we stayed at the smaller park and it was just us girls! I will miss these days when my kids are in school…must. soak. in. every. moment!

glimpse

here is a “glimpse” into our daily life…

I saw on pinterest this idea for edible paint. What a GREAT idea…umm why didn’t I think of that? Oh wait, b/c im not THAT genius, yet :). I let both girls play in it (youngest is 9 months) and they both loved it! My younger one surprisingly had no motivation to eat it, like my older one did. She tried every color..and wasn’t quite fond of the taste but still loved being able to “eat paint!” Hope we don’t have confusion in the future haha!
